Mindy Walker

I am a Tucson native. My family moved here from Chicago when I was only three. I learned to love Tucson, and this is where I'd like to raise my family. I am also a proud graduate of The University of Arizona. My Bachelor of Arts degree is in art history and anthropology.

I have been an insurance agent since 2001. I am a perfect match for this business. I love helping people understand their insurance coverages and being able to advise my clients with tailored recommendations. It's rare that people love what they do for a living—but I have been lucky enough to find that career.

My professional accomplishments in the insurance industry include the my qualification for Championship achievement in 2008, the 2007 Championship Award and the 2006 Crystal Blue Vase award, both which I am very proud to have. I was also recognized as the the Tucson Agent of the Year in 2004 and 2005.

I rarely have any spare time. But when I'm not working, I love to design and decorate everything from my bedroom to clothing. You can usually find me at a craft store, home goods store or a paint store when I'm not in the office—there is always a creative project that I am working on.

I also enjoy traveling especially to the beach. I recently took surfing lessons. I was horrible at first. But by the end, I did alright. I plan on working on my surfing a little bit more. Also, Jasic recently took me skiing for the first time, and I would like to do that more often, too.

Guitar lessons are something that I would like to do in the future but for now, I am focused on our son Calahan, who arrived in April 2008. Our family also has two dogs that we love very much.
